We are honoured to be recognised as a Google for Education Reference School in recognition of our outstanding use of digital technologies to drive positive learning outcomes. We join a select group of schools, one of only five in Ireland, who work closely with Google in supporting the use, development, and deployment of future technologies in our school and other schools, globally.
We actively use digital tools to enhance teaching and learning across all subject areas and use the Google for Education suite as our main platform. Our school has invested in our ICT infrastructure; all classrooms have touchscreen boards and we enjoy reliable and secure Wifi, campus-wide. All teachers have their own iPad which they use to develop creative resources and innovative lessons.
Our teaching staff are highly skilled and committed to professional development. Currently 20 teachers have achieved Google Certified Educator status and we have our own in-house Google Certified Trainer and Coach to develop bespoke training programmes and continuous professional development.
We are committed to providing our pupils with a digitally-rich experience, ensuring they develop as lifelong learners who are confident, independent, resilient and responsible users of modern technology, fully equipped with the future ready, digital skills vital for success in the modern, digital world.
